Associative Properties

The experience we have in the present is sometimes inaccessible to consciousness. We are left with is its trace. Affect names the intensity we perceive in the face of life, the ups and downs, the changes from one state to another… the becoming. Can affect go beyond experience or is it rather immanent to it?
The project ‘Associative Properties’ questions these becomings in their close connection with the surrounding and inhabited space. What expectations do we have of space, how does it change us and how do we change it? Do we understand how space inhabits us? Does interrogating how we relate to private/public spaces and their function in our everyday lives help us to better understand modern society? Starting from these questions and connections between elements related to contemporary living (inhabitation, space, intimacy, migration, etc.) the project talks about the idea of personal construction through everything we see, feel and experience.
In an era of urban overcrowding, do we still have a chance to live in a space that suits us?
